The answer is of course no! If the complete list of ingredients were visible to everyone, these companies would lose their competitive edge.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The same applies to your products and\/or services.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Your strengths and added value lie in your know-how, your business methods, and your operational processes. By hiring a candidate without carrying out the necessary background checks you could negatively impact the team, and company culture.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Imagine that you are hiring the son of your main competitor; you would have to limit their access to certain confidential information as you would be aware of the potential risks of technology capture.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>This risk would obviously be detrimental to the day-to-day operations, and future development of your business.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-353d7ff elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"353d7ff\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>The business stakes<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-36d07c05 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"36d07c05\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Have you recently hired a sales manager for their proven skills in prospecting and portfolio development? However, the Aubry law (December 1992) &#8211; states that it is up to the employer to verify the CVs of the candidates they receive.<\/b><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7d2854a5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7d2854a5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"><b>So, how can CV fraud be avoided?<\/b><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-74f5823d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"74f5823d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn its newsletter n\u00b058 in December 2019, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prefectures-regions.gouv.fr\/ile-de-france\/Region-et-institutions\/L-action-de-l-Etat\/Economie-et-finances-publiques\/L-intelligence-economique-en-Ile-de-France\/Alertes-securite\/Flash-ingerence\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">newsletter n\u00b058 in December 2019, <\/a> the DGSI makes some recommendations to protect against CV fraud.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-83c7708 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"83c7708\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>Before the interview<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make your HR department and managers aware of the risks involved in the recruitment process<\/li>\n<li>Pay attention to the overall consistency of the CVs you receive and the accuracy of the information provided<\/li>\n<li>Use all available means (including social media) to confirm the details presented in the CV. One candidate claims to have spent 2016 in London as a PhD student to prove his level of English, yet their Facebook profile shows them in Paris during this period. What&#8217;s really going on?&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a571892 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a571892\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>During the interview<\/b><\/p><ul><li>Ask the candidate to summarise their background in a concise but detailed way<\/li><li>Test the candidate&#8217;s knowledge through a practical exercise (technical, linguistic, IT literacy etc.)<\/li><li>Ask competency-based questions to evaluate the candidate\u2019s previous experience and knowledge<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4b79382 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4b79382\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>After the interview<\/b><\/p><ul><li>Ask the candidate for a copy of their qualifications\u00a0<\/li><li>Check the references provided by the candidate (personal and professional)\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-58b61275 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"58b61275\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A CV is still considered &#8220;the best way to get an interview&#8221; so ensure you get straight to the facts.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Hiring someone comes with responsibility, and relies heavily upon the sincerity and honesty of the candidate. If you later learn that a candidate has lied to you, how much confidence can you have in them? And also, how much confidence will your team have in them?
